Habitat for Humanity – Mumbai Build Trip

Size: 35.9 MB
Video Format: FLV
Duration: 4 Minutes 57 Seconds

In December 2011, Keppel Land supported and sponsored a team of 12 students from the Singapore Management University - Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter on an expedition to help underprivileged families build homes in the village of Nandgaon in Mumbai, India.

The team helped two families in the village – the families of Manik Chandu Jadhav (five members) and Daya Dilip Sonawane (seven members). Mani Chandu Jadhav’s family were the barbers for their village, while in Daya Dilip Sonawane’s family, he was the sole breadwinner. Both families’ homes required brick work for the houses the students helped to build.
